Q. How can I use the command line to uninstall an application?

A. You can use the Windows Instrumentation command-line interface (WMIC) to uninstall an application if you know the name of the application. (To learn how to use the command line to obtain a list of all the applications installed on a computer, see the July 14, 2008, FAQ "How can I use the command line to receive a list of all the applications installed on my computer?"). Excellent tip - another great gem!

Seems WMI is quite unreable way to do things! Too often it simple does not works.

For example - on 2 computers where I tried it reports error 0x80041033.

And there is nothing special in system events. Only lot of "trash" information in MSI*.log files - about 120Mb log files generated on simple uninstall request. :-(
